Calendar Level II Classes complete the following projects and assignments to meet the course objectives: Logo Programming: Students are introduced to programming basics. Students learn the basic commands and procedures and use basic logic to train the program to build a simple house. Word Processing: Students will learn to create and format a variety of word processing documents. Design page layout incorporating: page numbers, page breaks, borders, alignment, balance of text, graphics and white space, and text wrap. Graphics: Using Microsoft Word and Paintshop Pro 7 to modify original graphics and recognize different graphic formats. They also learn to generate digitally produced images. Databases: Students will be able to create a database file, determine field names and attributes, and utilize the sorting and query features to find information matching specific criteria. Spreadsheets: Students will be able to create, format, and manipulate spreadsheet files. Students will also be able to use appropriate data from a spreadsheet to create graphs and charts. Multimedia: Students will prepare and present a multimedia production using three or more technologies such as: Electronic database, CD-ROM, Internet, Scanner, and/or Digital camera Telecommunications: Students will conduct research using more than one electronic resource and learn to conduct effective searches on the Internet using keyword search techniques. Basic Operational Skills: The basic operational skills will be reviewed and tested. Areas of weakness will be reviewed as needed and retested. Legal and Ethical Issues: Issues such as copyright rules and legal software
use will be studied and reinforced through the practice of adhering to
these rules. |
