•  Fridays- Every student should turn in a practice sheet EVERY Friday. This is their homework grade for the class, and is equal to 20% of their grade. Required practice time is 1.5 hours for 6th grade, 2 hours for 7/8.

* Playing Tests- These tests are given to test the sections of the programed music to assess the application of the music theory. Scales and excerpts from class performance pieces make up these tests.

*Written Tests- Music Theory assessments

*Concerts- All concerts and after-school rehearsals in preparation for the concerts are mandatory and considered a double test grade.
