1. Daily Preparation and Class Work - 20%( Students are expected to come to class on time with their instruments and necessary supplies, book, a pencil, and a good attitude. If any of the above are missing the student will loose points for preparation that day.

2. Practice Sheets - 15%

3. Test Performance, Written tests, and Required Rehearsal and Performances - 65%

4. Extra Credit

   A. Attendance at a live music event (5 pts)

   B. Participation in Solo & Ensemble Festival (10 pts)

   C. Audition for District Band & 7th grade All City (10 pts)

   D. Selected after school rehearsals (5 pts)

   E. Written report on an approved topic (up to 5 pts)

   F. Marching Band Parade participation (up to 20 pts)
