BAND STUDENT OF THE 9 WEEKS & MOST IMPROVED BAND STUDENT OF THE 9 WEEKS
To help promote and recognize student achievement we will be recognizing a student of the 9 weeks and a most improved student of the 9 weeks.  The Band Student of the 9 weeks will be chosen based on: citizenship as a band member, practice sheet and performance records, and rehearsal attendance. The Most Improved Band Student of the 9 weeks will be chosen based on improvement in the above categories.

Any student who meets the following criteria will receive our school letter for their achievement and dedication to the band program. 

STUDENTS WISHING TO RECEIVE A LETTER IN BAND WILL:

• Demonstrate outstanding citizenship
• Have a 90% average for the year
• Participate in all performances scheduled for their band
• Prepare and participate in either Solo & Ensemble Festival or District band auditions or
• Participate in All city Band or
• Participate in Marching Band/pep band

Students who have earned any awards, medals, or letters throughout the year will be presented with them at the end of the year.

• Band grade average of 85%
• No ISS or OSS
• Participated in required band concerts
• Did two of the following:
  • Pep Band
  • Marching Band
  • Solo & Ensemble
  • Tried out for All City or District Band.
