| The Lady Lancers inability to pass Bayside's serves kept them out of tempo for most of this opening match of the season. Jenna H. contributed 42 assists from the setter position; however, the Lancers had a difficult time keeping their attacks in play. Elizabeth A. passed defensively 61 times from the Libero position. Service errors, bad passing, and hitting errors directly contributed to 51 points being awarded to Bayside. The team was disappointed in the performance and was anxious to get back to practice and try to correct them. |

WIN |
| Landstown dominated the Sharks by playing the most complete match seen in a long time. Playing in a 6-2 offense for the first time this season, Kayla R. and Breanna S. dished out 44 assists. Taylor R. and Cheyanne J. dominated play at the net with strong blocking and solid hitting. Bianca W. and Bailey T. hit well placed attacks from the outside, while defensively, Elizabeth A. called the court movements and dug up everything hit her way. |

| Landstown just couldn't click as a team against the Jets of Corporate Landing. Both teams played a very fast tempo game with a lot of transitioning and good attacks. The fast tempo often caught the Lancers off guard, which caused defensive lapses in the passing game. It was difficult to regain control of the match, although the girls never gave up trying. |

WIN |
| This was probably the most exciting volleyball match in the city! After going to all five games, the total difference between winning and losing the match came down to five points. Although these are the type of games which give coaches grey hair, they are great for the sport and great for the fans. Landstown and Salem fought back and forth with great play on both sides of the net. Landstown was down in game five, and the prospects of victory did not look gooc, but Bailey T. came to the rescue with several line shots into an open court. Solid serving forced Kempsville into bad plays while hustle and smart defense allowed Landstown to rebound and take the lead. The Lady Lancers basically shut down Kempsville and won gam efive by the score of 15-12. |

WIN |
| The Lady Lancers defeated the Brandon Chargers 3 games to 1 (25-16, 25-12, 24-26, 25-21) as every player on the roster got into the match and contributed to the victory. It was great to see the younger inexperienced players out there having fun and actually putting all those long practice hours to good use. The 6th and 7th graders provided very positive glimpses of the future of Landstown volleyball. After winning the first game, Coach West began to liberally substitute players. Because the girls were not used to playing, or used to playing on the court together, it did create some confusion in games 3 and 4 and cost the team several points. However, the team pulled it together and “learned on the go” coming back to win game 4. |

WIN |
| Forced to play with a makeshift lineup, Landstown took on a hungry Larkspur team and came out of their Lion’s Den with a 3 game to 1 victory (18-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23). With only two starters available, Coach West gave the offensive reins to setters Breanna S. and Tommie Jo D. Starters Bailey T. (OH) and Elizabeth A. (Libero) were the glue that held the team together until the Lady Lancers could overcome their nervousness and play the way they knew they could. Some strong serving by Bailey T., Desirae S., Cheyanne J., and Kayla R. helped the Lancers keep in control of the match. Larkspur was feisty and could taste victory in each game, however, except for game 1, Landstown kept snatching victory from the Lions’ jaws. |

WIN |
Landstown improved their record to 5 and 2 with their most complete volleyball match of the season, beating Lynnhaven Middle 3 straight games (25-16, 25-23, 25-15). Landstown came out dominant in game one with outstanding offense and defense. Aggressive serving by Jenna H. and Bailey T. allowed the Lancers to race to a 14 to 3 lead. Defensively, the entire team was consistently in the right positions, passing Lynnhaven’s attacks and converting them into first tempo attacks for kills. In game 2, the Lancers were a little out of sync and had to battle the Blues for every point. The score went back and forth before solid serving put the game on ice for Landstown. Cheyanne J. and Desirae S. were pounding attacks at the feet of the Lynnhaven players all night due to very nice setting by Jenna H. and Kayla R. Elizabeth A. provided excellent defensive passing the entire match. |

WIN |
Landstown finished the 2006-2007 season in style by defeating arch-rival Princess Anne 3 games to 0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-23). The Lady Lancers came into the final match of the season with tremendous determination and confidence. 8th Graders Jenna H., Kayla R., Bailey T., Desirae S., Bianca W., Taylor R., Elizabeth A., and Elizabeth S. were determined to leave their legacy as the first Landstown volleyball team to beat Princess Anne and the first Landstown team to finish with a season best 6-2 record. That was good enough for second place in the Southern Division. The Lady Lancers completely dominated the Panthers in every aspect of the match with outstanding serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking. Congratulations Landstown on a great season! |
